Are you bizarre of feeling tired, inactive and bloated after eating? I was once in the same boat. Struggling with digestive problems for many times in my life, I am very grateful to Ayurveda, the ancient India’s medical science of life that growing vastly worldwide as a sustainable health solution.
During my studies with Ayurveda, I learned that getting healthy digestion is the key to having great overall health; I watched my own health dramatically improve by following Ayurveda’s digestion secrets. Now, as an Ayurveda savvy, I have seen many of my friends having severe problems for indigestion.
So, I am very pleased to share a bit of Ayurveda secrets for your good health.

1. Start your day having a little bit of ginger and a pinch of white salt.
Ginger is an Ayurvedic spice root with many delightful digestion properties. It’s especially helpful for those who are suffering from bitter taste or sour taste or constipation, as well as having coughs and colds.
Salt is another formula for  Digestion— Ayurveda always recommends rock salt, as it has the embedded benefits of nutrition to the eyes and heart, without generating burning sensations.

2. Eat warm food and drink warm water.
Many of our friends having issues regarding indigestion or improper digestion after having meals. Why is this? The digestive system functions like a fire in our body. Like any fire, it also gets “stuffed” when we toss cold substances into it. The digestive system gets ignited by warm foods and hot spice or beverages.

3. Enjoy your food anytime with a pious experience.
We had learned from Ayurveda the importance of having experience of eating more quietly. It means to sit before eating food with an imagination that you’re sitting in front of God as your food. Enjoy your food sitting quietly and having some entertainment like watching tv or gossips. But it’s a bad thing to gulp your food rapidly because you have watch tv. Kids often do that!!

4. Sit on your knees after eating.
Revered eating does not mean running around or walking fast after eating. Yoga is the concern to Ayurveda so it will be more beneficial to do some light yoga asanas, like sitting in Vajrasana (a pose of yoga that comprises sitting on your knees and your hips touching your heels and toes). If you are unable to sit in Vajrasana then simply sit on a chair straight and close your eyes for few minutes after eating. You will feel a good digestion process that will give you energy, power and vitality.

5. Cook your food with Ayurvedic digestive spices
There are so many varieties of spices around us. Always use digestive spices like Cumin seeds (Jeera), fenugreek seeds (Saunf), ajwain seeds (Ajwain), and a pinch of asafetida (Heeng). These are most nutritious spices that should be added to your meals. Each of these has their own properties that would help you in good digestion and prevents gas, acidity and bloating after eating. Always avoid hot spices and chilies!

 6. Wait for eating until your previous food is digested.
Being busy in our works we often eat snacks and fast food. These are very bad for your health because they are hardly digestible. This is a very dangerous situation because your stomach does not get proper time to digest previous food and getting another to digest. That becomes a burden on your stomach and produces many digestive problems like heartburn, food poisoning etc.

7. Do not eat when feeling emotionally charged.
You should avoid eating when getting emotionally upset or in off mood. So calm down for sometimes and get rid of your anger, grief and anxiety, then eat. In other word always avoid eating when you are in tension or hyper.

These tricks worked very nicely and many of our clients got rid of indigestion.
